I much appreciate any suggestions and am willing to learn.
To clarify: my situation is that I post photos for my clients on my website.
These of course are small files made from large jpg originals. Because it is
faster to color correct and edit the small files, and because the clients
like to see the results immediately, I do that first. Ideally what I would
like to do is have a script that could compare the contents of both folders
(one containing the edited small size jpgs the other with the exact same
named large jpgs) and eliminate the bad photos from the large jpg folder.
I have found that if I make a copy of both folders and move the contents of
the copied small jpg folder into the copied large jpg folder I will be asked
if I wish to replace the same named. I say yes to all and then remove the
small files by sorting under file size and I wind up with a list of jpgs I
need to remove. What the original intention of my thread was was to simply
find these named jpgs and eliminate them from the original large jpg file.
Sorry if it took two paragraphs to explain this, but I am most grateful to
all who have responded to this thread. It is after all the only way for a
neophyte to learn.
Thanks,
Hans
