Not without assistance. There are some one-trick utilites that provide this
functionality, and 'Path Finder' (a versatile replacement for the standard
OS X 'Finder') can do it too.

An alternative is to base your script on comments. These can be set and got
very easily with AppleScript, and provide an almost infinite range of
possibilities (instead of the meagre seven you get with labels).
