Newbie questions

Hi,

I am new to AppleScript (but I write Java apps for a living). I have created a small script for folder navigation that I want to live in a Mac OS X Finder window's tool bar. My questions are these:

Can an AppleScript program have a custom icon? I think you can set an icon by pasting into the Get Info window but I'm not sure if these custom icons travel with the program or not. Can an AS program be made into a package?

Is there a way for my script to NOT show up in the dock every time it's launched? I want this script to act like a toolbar button rather than like an application with all the zoom rects, bouncing dock icon and all.

Thanks in advance for any pointers, web sites, user guides, etc...

oz
