Could something be implemented like, say, 'path to current script'?

An application developer could -- indeed, one has. Among the zillion or so new scripting features in InDesign CS is that very thing:

tell application "InDesign CS"
set x to active script as Unicode text
display dialog x
end tell

As yet, though, it doesn't seem to recognise script bundles.
