Passing the "AFP://..." syntax always yields a "Network File Permission

version 1.8.3 of AS on 9.2.2.
Just tested my mount volume script on 9.2 (not 9.2.2) mounting a Win 2K server this morning and this worked fine.
mount volume "afp://user_name:pass_word@server_name/volume_name/
With server_name being the IP address to the server. I can't say much about Windows NT never used it. The only odd thing I notice that it does not bypass the login even though I specified user name and password. That is the case for both 9.2 and 9.1 on two different machines and only for the Win 2K server. The script does bypass the login when mounting our ASIP server. However, the exact same script on 8.6 will bypass the login and just mount the drive from both the Win2K as well as the ASIP server. Sorry you will have to wait until tomorrow if you need to know was version of AppleScript is on the 9.2 machine as I can't get to it tonight. Let me know if you need it. The 8.6 box is running AppleScript 1.3.7.

We are not ready yet to move to OS X so I'm hoping for an answer that will work for now in OS (.
I know the feeling! I am the one that is still running 8.6 on an 8600 and we are not moving to OS X any time soon. The expense of new machines as well as OS X apps. to run on them is just too high. :)
Good Health Always,
