I don't know if anybody answered this yet, so I'll give it a go......

AFP://......only works with appleShare file servers. You are trying to open a Windows NT file server, so this won't work. You should try other protocols to open it. The other protocols are, but not limited to: smb:// , and eppc:// . Give those a try and email back to post your results.

Hello. Is there a definitive answer to using Mount Volume? I am trying to
mount an NT volume over IP. Through the chooser it mounts via IP just fine.
Passing the "AFP://..." syntax always yields a "Network File Permission
Error", yet the script will mount the volume using AppleTalk. This is
version 1.8.3 of AS on 9.2.2.

Is there a previous version of "standard additions" that will work? We are
not ready yet to move to OS X so I'm hoping for an answer that will work for
now in OS (.

Cheers,
