I believe the capitalization auto-defaults to how the variable was named the first time you compiled the script.

Saving your script as text, making the case changes (in BBEdit or such), then recompiling should work, though I think there's a simpler way... just can't recall it at the moment

I always just created a new script document, copied the text of the script, changed the case, and then compiled. Saving as text sounds simpler, though.
