Finding RGB Images in QXP via script

Can it be done?

I have been through the dictionary in v4.11 and 5.0. I tried getting the
color property of the image but it returns:

--> color: color spec "Black" of document "document 1"

The image is NOT black! - and image type returns:

--> image type:color 32 bit image

these results are the same whether the image is RGB or CMYK.

I'm cornfused. Surely, there must be a way. Can anyone shed some light?

Thank you.
