I think we've discussed this before.
The primary reason for AppleScript being unable to get the terminology from an application is that it does not respond to the "get terminology" event. Typically, this is because it is busy doing something else and simply doesn't respond in time. If this happens, you need to quit the application which is displaying or running the script, and relaunch it.
At least that has been my experience.
