Bug in (scripting) Excel.

I think I found a bug on scripting Excel.
It drove me nuts the past two days.

I am scripting 3 worksheet, each having 4 sheets.
The problem arises in the following circumstance:

pseudo code
set (names of worksheet) to {n1,n2,n3} --all string

tell excel
repeat
open 3 worksheet
end repeat

activate window n1
do something
set lastcolumn to column of (LastCell of Range "A1" direction xlToRigth)-- problem here
continue code ...
...
end pseudo code

The problem is, in the lastcolumn call, excel will always use this range in Windows n3 (n1 is the active one).
If you change the order of (names of worksheet) excel will always open the 3rd worksheet on this call. It does not matter which is the front window (worksheet)!
Which would be fine if i had to do that only with one worksheet. But I have to do it with all 3, and all the calls are calls to worksheet n3 or the last one in (names of worksheet).
The workaround was to close and open all the worksheet in each pass. Which is a pain.
I tried "Tell window n1", but it did not work. May be my mistake, but I was so piss*d at excel that I decided not to fix it today.
I have a working copy of the script, I will work on a copy this weekend.
I reproduced this over and over and over..... Too many times to be honest!
