At 02:56p -0800 04/04/2004, trinko didst inscribe upon an electronic papyrus:
Actually the title will be the same but Wiley is going to release a
new, updated version of AppleScript for Dummies.
Anyone who's got suggestions as to what new stuff--ie post system
7.5 :) -- you think newbies would be interested in I'd be glad to
hear it. I'm going to use 10.3.3, Script Editor 2.0, and AppleScript
1.9.3 as the basis for everything. Remember that a Dummies book
isn't competing with "AppleScript The Definitive Guide" so my
audience is mostly non-programers.
Well, be sure to document all the stuff that does NOT work anymore.
If you could do it on 7.5 but it's impossible on 10.x, point it out.
Is the book pure vanilla AS, or do you make use of third-party osaxen?
There are many, many osaxen which have no equivalent on "the most
advanced operating system" (as Apple calls it).
