Depending on wether or not the script was to be used by all users or only a single user:


Macintosh HD:Library:Application Support:<Developers / Company's Name>:<Script Name>:<File.aiff>

Maybe its just personal preference, but I cant stand it when I download software & it puts application support files in my Documents folder.

Maybe another option would be to save the script as a Bundle & call store the audio files inside of the actual bundle itself & call them from there. That way the user never even has to worry about them even existing, they're always with the script. I believe you could use 'Path to Me' to easily find the initial path to the script. At least I know that works for scripts saved as apps. Might get a little hairy with just script files being run from another app.
