Getting off topic here, but there is a reason I spend most of my time lurking. I am a confessed neophyte to scripting, and while I have written a few simple AppleScripts, I frankly don't know the difference between a script and an AppleScript.


The original script in question was from Mike Bombich. It was modified by a co-worker, and then with the help of this list I was able to modify the script further to do exactly what we want (thanks again everyone!). If the original question (or my next question) are inappropriate to the list, my apologies.

The only books in my reference library are AppleScript books - AppleScript in a Nutshell and Applescript the Definitive Guild. Are there other scripting books I should be reading?
