Okay, so network management software is what checks your computer to see
"what's wrong", and then is able to take action, such as sending email,
messages, dialing a phone.
SMS is Short Messaging Service, or a way to get short text messages on your
cell phone.
You need to have some kind of software monitoring your server so that it
knows that something's not right. I ask about SMS because there's a number
of tools that do this, and it's a LOT more useful than just telephone
numbers.
