Folks-
First off, I apologize for the cross-posting, but I want to be sure
that everyone involved knows what is going on. The delay in responding
was intentional, as I wanted to be sure that the information I supplied
was as accurate as possible.
It has come to our attention that mail-archive.com has been archiving
our mailing list traffic without our knowledge, and not protecting the
privacy of the users to the same degree that Apple has. This is a
violation of our terms and conditions and we are working on having them
remove the current archives they have, as well as making sure it
doesn't happen again in the future.
This is the current situation:
1. I have contacted the site maintainers of mail-archive.com and
informed them to remove the current archives immediately. They sent a
reply saying the archives would be removed today.
2. I am in the process of removing them from each mailing list they
were archiving.
3. We are implementing a process to ensure it doesn't happen again in
the future.
Thanks for your understanding in this matter. If anyone has any other
concerns, as always, please take them off the mailing lists and/or feel
free to contact me directly.

Subject: Not happy...
Nobody else responded to my earlier post about mail-archive.com and
nobody
from Apple responded to another post I sent to the admin address -
so maybe
the consensus is that this is a "non-issue"?
But, for the record, I'd like to say that I'm unhappy that our email
addresses are all being made publicly available here:
maillist.ht
ml>
And unhappy that somebody from Apple must have added them to the
mailing
list because the service will *not* answer confirmation requests and
therefore cannot be activated without input from the list
administrators.
