Because this script will only get used once a month when the rail cars of newsprint arrive, I don't want it to run every time I launch Excel (of course).


All the macro does is set the font of a row to a Code39 barcode font, and the size to 36. I script Excel so infrequently it was faster to record the macro and use AS to step through and run it rather than to figure it out from the (voluminous) dictionary.

Now that I have the scripting reference (MUCH nicer than the dictionary... the Office Mac team did a good job from my brief examination -- and thanks again for the link) I'll have a look at losing the macro when I have some time.
