I have been using Filemaker Pro/AppleScript/x-10 scripting addition on a Powerbook 5300 to program a CP-290 home automation interface. Since my Powebook 5300 just died I need to program the CP-290 from a modern computer (AlBook or iMac). Ideally I would like to use a USB to Serial converter and X-10 scripting addition from Classic to replace the old setup. Any ideas?

My Christmas light are depending on this! ;-)
