Photoshop CS saving EPS with options

Hi
I am having problems with script that saves images as Photoshop EPS with encoding option. I tried first to save as Photoshop EPS binary (which is default) and that worked fine but I can not make it save with the JPEG compression. I do not get any error, I only get the saved images with default "binary" option.
This is my line:
save in X_folder as Photoshop EPS with options {encoding:maximum quality JPEG}
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here?
I have Mac OS X and Photoshop CS.
