I didn't know you could use 'current record' like that.
Are you sure that's supposed to work?

Not at all sure! It was just a wild guess. And it compiled.

I would try something like...
[...snip...]
set myInvCode to cell "InventoryCode" of record id myID

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! That works just fine.

What I'd like to know is, where and how is that syntax documented? I could never have divined that from the FMP dictionary or the Apple Events doc that came with Filemaker.

Anyone? I'd love to learn how to fish :-)
