Your post (as well as Deivy's one) made me remember of following.

I once discovered by accident some preference key, by clicking for the first time on some checkbox and by looking at the corresponding preferences file (sorry not to be more precise, but I really don't remember more...). As I had by chance looked just before at that same preference file, I could notice the new key.
I thus asked myself if it could be possible to find some exhaustive and up-to-date list of those keys for the various system preferences and for the Finder.
I looked on Apple's site, in the developer tools headers... no success.

So, my question is: how the hell did you find about "AppleShowAllFiles", then about "ShowAllMode" ?!? :-)
