You can script most application including browsers with the tell command. The only things that you will not be able to do with these alternative browsers is do Javascript. Do Javascript is useful if you are resizing windows or moving windows or trying to get images off the web. As far as I know the do Javascript only runs in Safari. I use it on do javascript alot and find it very helpful sometimes.

Let me ask you a question. Why don't you want to use Safari?
