Did you run your main script from Script Editor?
Or as an application?
This can make the whole difference ;-)
As it is quite late here, I'll write more on this point tomorrow (in the
meantime, may I suggest that you re-read my message dated January 15th?
Could be useful, as I will have to add another subtilty to what I wrote...).
