Finder or System Events for File Manipulation

  • Subject: Finder or System Events for File Manipulation

Hello,

OS X 10.3.2.

Is it better to use the Finder or System events for file manipulation?

I ask because with heavy AppleScripting of file manipulation, I find the
Finder to be slow/sluggish/beachball of death. This prevents me from working
in the Finder until the script is done. If I use System Events would this
help with the Finder Sluggishness?

Thanks,

Jason Bourque
