I have been using a script that uses SOAP calls to get information
about music and movies from Amazon. Since installing Panther this
script no longer works. Anybody else experience this? Is there
anything to be done about it? Thanks.
I don't think the problem is with Panther--the SOAP scripts I use
still seem to work fine. Maybe there's been a change at the server.
Indeed, for some unknown reason, SOAP calls to Amazon (specifically) do
not work anymore in Panther. As far as I know, this is not related to
the Amazon Web Services, as the same calls still work in Jaguar. The
only way around it, (as pointed out by Jon's example on the thread at
http://bbs.applescript.net/viewtopic.php?t=5564 ) is to use XML and
decipher the info you need.
Hope this helps you out.
