I wasn't sure if he meant AppleScript scripts, or FileMaker Pro scripts. If it's the latter, then he should get a copy of Scriptology. I think there was supposed to be an updated version out sometime soon.

When you install FileMaker you get a folder that contains comprehensive
implementations for AppleScript. Look in Applications>FileMaker
Pro>FileMaker and Apple Events. You get sample scripts along with the FMP
files that they work with. AppleScript and FileMaker work extremely well
