If you want to switch to FMP for cross-platform use, then you won't
want to use AppleScript with FMP (as that part of your databases will
only work with Macs) and so this list won't get you very far.
FMP has a built-in scripting environment; you might love it or hate it,
but it's the only cross-platform scripting for FMP. More info is
available from the FileMaker docs, and is pretty simple to grasp
without much background.
There are plenty of FMP resources online - perhaps first you need to
dig in to FMP a little and then identify where you are stumbling, and
ask targetted questions.
Also, note that scripts created within FMP's ScriptMaker aren't
generally shared, at least not separate from the database they are
built for (since they contain lots of dependencies on the particular
schema in that database).
If you just wanna see FMP AppleScript examples (totally different from
internal ScriptMaker scripts) then plenty come with FileMaker in the
"FileMaker and Apple Events" folder.
