It took me a while to figure out those are in System Prefs/Speech.
OK, now it works, sort of. If I have the setting to listen only when Esc key
is down, and I manage to press it while the prompt is still being spoken
(which immediately cuts off the rest of the prompt), then I answer, the
script works. If I wait until the prompt is finished, it's too late -
nothing happens, and it gives up in 30 seconds. (I can't even stop the
script.) If I switch my settings to Toggle Esc key on and off,. it never
works at all. Never. That's odd.
