Introduction and procmail test

I have recently found myself in a position of having to learn/write
AppleScript. My current skills are geared towards Linux (admin &
developing) for over a decade but I am new to OS X. As a user I've been
playing/using it for about 2 years but the only scripting or programming
I've ever done with it has been on the *NIX level. Now I have a task to
develop a droplet. I have Script Debugger, a plethora of URLs and a
bunch of books however I'm still a little lost. I'm seeking some advice
on what the best way would be to ramp up quickly for developing with
AppleScript. The books I have are (in no particular order):

Mac OS X Panther for Unix Geeks
AppleScript in a Nutshell
AppleScript for Applications (a Visual Quickstart Guide)
AppleScript the Definitive Guide (Covers Mac OS X Panther)
Programming Mac OS X

If someone has a quick start guide to Script Debugger that would be
helpful, too.

As a side note, I have easily been able to use AppleScript to wrap all
the UNIX commands/apps/utilities I am familiar with but the customer
needing this droplet isn't likely to take that as a finished product.
:-)

Thanks in advance,
Joe
