I'm guessing that it has something to do with the bring back the
ability to record scripts. Maybe we'll get recordable System Events.
Sure would be nice to edit Automator scripts, and if this doesn't
appear with 10.4, I'll bet it will in a subsequent release.

actions palette on top. It's not at all clear whether applescript
gets a

It will be clear when you watch the keynote address.
I just watched it and it seems like it is built on AppleScript, or at
least on Apple Events. When Sal saved the "workflow", it was saved to
the Scripts folder, and run from the scripts menu. I was left
wondering if you could open the "workflow" in Script Editor and find
an AppleScript lurking inside. It would never, as shown, be able to
replace hand tuned scripts, but seems more like "scripting for Granny"
(of course excluding the list's resident granny). Looked like it was
nudging into the territory of QuicKeys, but without the level of
control the it offers.
