Applescript and Resource forks

  • Subject: Applescript and Resource forks

Here is what I want to do.

I want to be able to tag a file by adding a version stamp to the resource fork of a file. (Preferably with AppleScript.)

Then, with a different script, I want to be able to display that version stamp.

Sounds simple, but i cannot find any place in the documentation that describes how to do this. (Unless I am missing something.)

How do I make this work?
