Auto field fill-in for Safari?

I have a friend who uses Safari to manage his investment accounts
through the web-browser interface at his investment firm's site.
The log-in page asks for things like account name, account number,
and password, each in a separate field. Then the Return key is
pressed, and his account summary is displayed.
He has asked if it is possible to initiate an Applescript for each
separate account that will automatically fill in each field -- and
send a Return key character -- with different information depending
on which account the script is for.
Security issues aside (ie, anyone could initiate a script and gain
access to his accounts), is this possible? If someone is familiar
with what is involved in such a task, would you please summarize the
separate steps required to write such a script? Could someone with
sufficient skill to write a basic web page (but a separate skill set,
I know) successfully write such a script? Or is it much more
complicated than that?
Thanks,
Dave
