Since "/" isn't the delimiter character, you don't have to escape it.
This had been working for some URL's, but some contain "&" which is a
variablename in sed.
In Terminal, "&" in a sed holdspace appears to parse out the string by an as
yet unlearned mechanism. I'm asking about it on a UNIX forum (those Linux
people are smart).
