There was a release note for AS 1.6 in OS X which said the coercion would
continue to work automatically for fileURL, and Chris Espinosa specifically
confirmed it to me at the time (just before release of OS 10.1). Whether the
app's implementer can block the coercion is something I wouldn't know
anything about. I'm sure that you personally can do anything you want,
Emmanuel, so I'm not at all surprised that you could do this.
