Okay. But I'm still interested to have a look at the document.

But you are right we have had these documents for a long time.

How do you suggest I create a fresh document?
Jot down the page size, the margins and so on.
Then Cmd-N and create it from scratch.

Save as or copy each page over. How do I keep styles and colors?
If it's too much work to recreate all boxes, then you could
try to _update_ the old document: Cmd-O, then locate the document
in the dialog, hold down the Option key and hit "Open".
When the project is open, make a "Save As...", change the
version (if necessary) and save the project under a new name.
For best results, these actions should have been done with
_each_ upgrade of QuarkXPress.
A much safer method: create a new project. But don't drag
the old boxes over. This could spoil everything.
The best method for "keeping" colors and styles: jot down the
figures, manually or by script :-), and create them again.
Second best: use "File / Append...", select the source document,
click "Open". Then, in the dialog, select the C&Js, the Colors and
the Style sheets to import. You'll also find an "Append" button
in the Editors for the C&Js, the Colors and the Style sheets.

Hans
