No, it's about me wanting a very clear explanation from the author of how I

You haven't gotten it yet, because the request doesn't make sense. Since you're the one who made the claim that Missing Link poses a security threat (with no evidence or suggestion whatever) how about you prove that it *can* be done? I notice that when well-respected members of the computer security industry make claims about a system's vulnerabilities, they tend to back it up with examples. Why can't you?

Were I to get this explanation, then the
UNCERTAINTY would be gonce, and since it's the UNCERTAINTY that created the
DOUBT I have about the safety of how this script works, and the FEAR that
it's too easily perverted, and that there's no real way to KEEP it from
being perverted. It's not like I have a competeing product. I've no real
agenda in making people not want to use Missing Link.

You do seem to have a bias about security that is keeping you from taking the time to understand how Missing Link works.

It could be my concern is misplaced.
That's very possible. But so far, I've seen nothing to show that. Well,
other than volume, and being called names. Alas, shouting and personal
attacks are really rather useles with me, if nothing else, they say "you've
hit a nerve. This may indeed be a valid concern".

Um, basically when you refuse to answer questions about where you're coming from or what you understand regarding the product you're attacking, and dismiss responses to your posts as volume, you're indulging in the same disingenuousness you claim to be the victim of. Peter has put a lot of time, effort, and thought into Missing Link, and it's a shame that he had to be tarred by your baseless concerns.

People are scared of security. It's big and complicated. Now that you've cast your shadow of doubt, the damage is irreparable. People assume you know what you're talking about and surely you know a lot more about security than they...

But okay, never mind. Security schemcurity, the emperor really is wearing
Armani.

Once again, I'm Satan. Really. It's okay. I do the job well.

I should really just admit it.

Stubbed your toe? My fault.
Got rear-ended by a silly bint on a cell phone? My fault
Boss dumping on you? My fault.
Anything going wrong in your day? I did it.

<snip>

Yours in evil and bad things,

Oh, poor you. What a martyr. If only your cause here was just, I'd nominate you for sainthood.
