When you click on that link in whatever browser or email app, I assume
at some point it gets passed on to Launch Services, which knows about
whatever apps which can handle the "applescript://" URL protocol.
If (!) any other script editing application supports the protocol, you
could presumable set that as your helper application for it in your
browser.
