In My Humble Opinion, this whole topic is stupid.
Note that I corrected you misspelled subject line. It's pretty hard to take
someone seriously who makes such hysterical claims and can't hardly write.
Personally, I'm fed up with hearing about all these "Mac Viruses" on every
Mac discussion site. This subject really brings the ignorant out of the
woodwork, and I have yet to find a valid point in all their hysteria.
On a more conversational note and with even less Applescript content, I've
noticed the most alarmist speculation comes from those who fear that this
outbreak somehow brings Mac on par with Windows.
Actually it's pretty ironic. Windows users get viruses on a daily schedule
and don't think twice about it, while Mac users read one report of an
imaginary virus and have a panic attack.
That's why I've shunted all messages with "Safari" in the subject straight
to the trash.
