Assuming Sherlock[*] = Find File, yes. Some folders, like /System are ignored
by default even though the interface clearly suggests otherwise. If you want
to include them in a search you can add them by drag&dropping them into Find
File.
[*] I've found the first few incarnatoins of "Sherlock" so horrible that I
just realized I haven't bothered launching it even just once in the past few
years. I probably never saw any of the OS X versions. I don't wonder if I'm
missing something :)
