As an alternative, I would recommend having a look at OmniGraffle Pro:

Its not a CAD app at all, but its got a great drawing environment, great AppleScript support and lots of nifty tricks. See here:

for various stencils/palettes including: <electronics>, <electronics +> and <boolean gates +> to get you started and give you some idea of what you can do with some stencils/palettes and scripts.
