Jakob, just out of curiosity, what would be the trouble using Satimage.osax?

This has not been mentioned yet, not even by Chris Nebel, but AppleScript implements a structure named "list". If you use Satimage.osax you can use the "all occurrences" option of its "find text" verb, and get all the matches you are interesting in, as a list. Achieving so is a little bit more tricky if you use text item delimiters, or grep.
