Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't I once told to use RTF when
posting scripts to avoid having the lines wrap?
The problem is that not all mail programs can read RTF so by using it
you are automatically cutting down the readability of your e-mail. The
same goes for HTML e-mail. E-mail was designed around plain text, if
you are going to do other formats over e-mail then at the very least be
considerate and include a plain text alternative in the message.
Even better, only e-mail in plain text. If you want to send other
formats then send them as attachments, include a link to a web or ftp
site where someone can get them, or state in the plain text e-mail that
people can e-mail you back to get the e-mail in other formats.
