Sorry, wrong link. The correct link is https://www.thawte.com/email/index.html. smime.p7, is no more an attachment than html portions of emails that have both html and plain text.

smime.p7s is not an attachment. It is a digital signature. It tends to appear as an attachment in email clients that do not handle digital signatures. See https://www.thawte.com/cgi/personal/contents.exe

OK, I can deal with all the horrible colors, terribly small and unreadable
fonts, bizarre backgrounds, obnoxious sig lines, and vision-jarring mixes of
quoted plain text and formatted text, but do I really have to start dealing
with regular cleanouts of my Attachments folder to deal with multiple
instances of:

<<attachment:smime.p7s (3k)>>

...every time LuKreme (nothing personal) or others choose some other nifty
way of making email harder/easier to read?

Please, I really, really, really don't like having to scan incoming email
attachments from lists when it's just not (should not be) necessary, and
building stripping filters should also not be required; all such tasks
rolled off to me task my CPU and labor times. Very, very few lists allow for
attachments, or generate situations where attachments are generated. Please
don't make this list (and the other Apple lists I'm on) one of them.

Thanks for listening.
