In the case of Terminal, if the user has removed it from the system, he or
she can do without anything I might publish that needs it.

Given how long it's been since I published anything useful, that's an idle
threat.  But I don't think we should have to go out of our way to
accommodate users who "improve" their systems in that sort of way.
