Making windows in Terminal actually used to work the "right" way in
 either 10.1 or 10.2.

Must have been 10.0.0 because I have both 10.1 and 10.2 at my fingertips and they behave the same. ;-)

Could be 10.0 I haven't scripted Terminal for a long time. But I do recall making multiple windows without that sort of asinine approach. "make new window" seems like a no brainer to me. "do script" as means to make a new window is thoroughly stupid. Inconsistency at its best.

The fact that "do script" makes a new window by default is actually fairly reasonable.

Apropos of other comments made earlier in this thread, it seems to me that it could be a source of annoyance when scripting. I still fail to see how it's reasonable.

The fact that it's the *only* way to make a new window is not. There is a bug filed on this.

That's good. It also doesn't respect the difference between "launch" and "run" (that is, it opens a window in both cases).
