I don't believe the Chooser is scriptable. At least it doesn't seem to have an AppleScript Dictionary. So you may be totally out of luck in scripting it.

A bit of Googling came up with this revelation on the subject:
<http://macscripter.net/faq/comments.php?id=26_0_5_0_C>
"Much to the dismay of many, the Chooser is not scriptable."

The link goes on to give a possible workaround through an OSAX

Can other Classic apps print? Maybe your Classic environment is borked for some reason? If possible I'd first try to fix the problem directly before trying to script around it.

The problem: When I try to start the Classic application Cindex, it tells me "CINDEX could not find a printer. Please use the Chooser to select a printer then start again." and then stops loading. Even if I have previously chosen a printer before shutting down, the same thing happens next time.

The proposed solution: An OS X script to start Classic, open Chooser, pick a printer, close all the messages about AppleTalk, and then start Cindex. I think I can do it if I can figure how to "tell Chooser". So far, no luck on that. Can someone here tell me how to do that?
