We set up our PowerBook and iBook users on campus to login automatically to
our Cisco LEAP network via System Preferences. Under Network...AirPort, set
By default, join [A specific network] from the drop down menu. Enter the
network name and the password in the space provided. If you're also doing
LEAP, the password entered must in the following form: <username/password>
(include '<' '>')

By the doing it the way I've mentioned, you don't have to mess with a login
script. Power up the portable, it automatically logs on. Sleep it, it logs
on when awakened--all without having the user do anything. Yes, it's a bit
of a security risk if the portable is stolen. If it is, you change the
password and that will disable the auto login (since you've hard coded the
password in). It's also helpful to enable 'Show AirPort status in menu bar'
so it displays your network status.

Heaven forbid.
Sorry, if someone's already come up with an answer. I'm late in catching up
with my digest reading. HTH
