After getting my script using the "download <url> to file <filename>" command working in my script under OSX, I decided it would be nice to have it work under OS9, because a machine running that is closer to the scanner.

However, although there is a "URL Access Scripting" osax in Scripting Additions on that machine, and although the script compiles, I get the error "Application does not run in this environment" when the script attempts to execute the download command.

Can anyone explain this?

Not really, David. URL Access Scripting works fine for me (OS 9.1 / AS 1.8.3) using "download <url> to file <file path>".

Are you actually testing on the OS 9 machine, or in Classic mode?
