calling webpage inside an if structure...

Hi,

I'm wondering:
I have a monitoring applescript wich I run from a PHP page.

Is it possible to call a php/webpage from inside an if structure, so I can store the monitoring inside a database?

if is recording "name01" is true call webpage saying the recording is going smoothly else start recording "name01" call webpage saying the recording failed and attempted to restart the recording end if
