So it is. I think I had something odd happen while I was booted from a test
partition where my user folder was symlinked to the user folder on my usual
Panther partition. I'll have to check it again next time I'm back there.
('path to current user folder' gave the correct result on my usual
partition, the original folder. I could swear that 'path to "cusr"' gave the
/Users/ folder on the test partition where I was booted. I'll check again
soon. Back now on my regular partition (no symlinks) everything is as you
say.
