  • Thread-topic: mail via terminal goes to internal address but not to external address

Hi all,

I am trying to send email via the terminal window.....and I have mixed succes.

/Users/jbultere 7% mail -s test email@hidden
test
EOT
/Users/jbultere 8%

mails arrive but only internal.... I am sending from within a company
when sending to an external company it does not go thru.....

When looking in the "mailq" file I have an "operation timed out"

Do I need to specify something to be able to send files outsite? (smtp, dns, ldap??)

much appreciated any help,
jan
